In July & August in America it’s barbecue time. I remember as a child. My grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins would get together on the farm. We grilled hamburgers, hotdogs and steaks. A table held all the foods of summer: corn on the cob, green peas and carrots, beef steak tomatoes, radish and cucumber salad, watermelon, muskmelon, and grapes. Another table had desserts including lemon meringue pie, cherry pie, apple pie, fruit salads, and jello-moulds. The fridge was filled with cold drinks and ice cream. But this feast attracted a horde of black flys! We spent much of the time chasing them away. Have a nice summer!
